Big Space, Big City: Patio in Downtown Nashville

We recently had the pleasure of completing a remarkable project that truly showcases the potential of urban living spaces. In the heart of the city, where space is often at a premium, we were presented with a rare opportunity: a large apartment balcony. This expansive outdoor area allowed us to create a multifunctional space that caters to various needs and activities, making it a true urban oasis.

One of the standout features of this project is the distinct separation of spaces. We designed a cozy daybed nook, perfect for lounging and enjoying a good book or an afternoon nap. The daybed, with its canopy and many pillows, offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's an inviting spot that encourages relaxation and comfort.

Adjacent to the daybed area, we created a dining space that can comfortably accommodate a small group for meals. The dining table and chairs were carefully selected to complement the overall aesthetic and provide a functional area for outdoor dining. This space is ideal for hosting dinner parties or enjoying a quiet breakfast with a view of the city skyline.

We also incorporated a dedicated conversation area, complete with comfortable seating and a coffee table. This space is perfect for socializing with friends and family or simply enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of the city. The arrangement of the furniture promotes easy conversation and a sense of intimacy, making it a favorite spot for gatherings.

Storage is often a challenge in urban living, but we addressed this by integrating a stylish storage area into the balcony design. This space not only provides ample storage for outdoor essentials but also adds to the overall aesthetic with its sleek and functional design. Finally, we added a side tables strategically to enhance functionality and convenience.
